The Spotify for Podcasters app on Apple devices has a new look and here’s what you can do with it – assuming your podcast is hosted there.
Uploading of episodes
You can upload episodes directly in the app. I’m not sure exactly when I would do that but let’s say I need to leave and can’t use my computer. I could keep uploading while I’m on the move and the app is open. Of course, the file would already have to be on my iPad or iPhone. Or another scenario might be I’m recording episodes at a conference and then I would just upload that directly through the app.
You will have to find the file in the Files app on your Apple device.

Comments
Comments are new in summer 2024 and you can monitor them, approve them, and respond to them in the app.
Once a podcast gets comments, using the Spotify for Podcasters app could be an easy workflow to keep up with what people are saying. Especially since it appears that comments show up as a whole and not by episode necessarily so you can see them all in one place.

Analytics
The app gives you an overview of analytics of your podcast episodes. It also breaks down – which I find super interesting – where people are listening. So for example, people listen to my podcast quite a bit on websites. So that includes embeds on this website and others.
And that’s ann overview of the app. Will I use it? I am not sure. If I get a lot of comments, it certainly would be an easy way to just respond to the notifications coming in. But will I upload episodes this way? Probably not.
