One way to learn new strategies or get inspired by ideas is to read other B2B marketing blogs. Which ones do I draw inspiration from and why? Let’s take a look, but first, the obligatory definition:

What is B2B blogging?

A B2B blog strategy usually involves companies sharing informational and educational content to raise their thought leadership and awareness level in the industry. B2B blog content can be for all stages of the funnel and is designed to engage prospective buyers. Though it is often associated with top-of-the-funnel activities and SEO strategies.

Many blogs are now branded under Insights or Learn sections, so they should deliver what the headings promise. The ones I recommend do! Fractional CMO and thought leader Neal Schaffer invites visitors to join 13,000 others to sign up to get his advice via email. That’s exactly what good B2B marketing blogs do: They become your inspiration and advisor.

How often should B2B marketers post a blog post? On an ongoing basis, for sure, so that at least means good blogs aren’t going months without new articles. Does it have to be every day? Or even every week? Maybe not, but it should be more than once a quarter. The depth of the topic can also play a part here. But long story short, I can’t consider sharing a B2B marketing blog as a recommendation if there aren’t at least somewhat recent posts.

So, those are some B2B marketing blogs you can draw inspiration from to level up your marketing career. Which other ones should make the list? Leave your recommendation as a comment on my LinkedIn post here.

Remember, they should be educational, know what they are talking about, and have recent posts. (There were many blogs with good content, but the content is older, and the blog is clearly abandoned, so I didn’t recommend those here.)
