I’ve previously shared how AI and humans can get the most out of content performance. Now, let’s look at some of the best AI tools for content creators. Best – as always – is certainly my opinion. And, even in the age of AI, we still need to create quality content that helps our companies stand out.
What are AI tools for content creators?
In a nutshell, these are AI tools that can help us content creators move faster and let the machine do some of the grunt work. But keep in mind that tools that just write content from scratch are NOT the way to go. There MAJOR concerns:
- Where does the source content even come from?
- It won’t be your unique story or thought leadership
- The content isn’t even written very well.
Yet, there are AI tools for content creators that can help with parts of the process. In alphabetical order…
AI for Busy Readers
A tool that adjusts copy for readers that are strapped for time – so everyone.
Claude AI
It’s kind of like ChatGPT, but I found it more useful early on in the AI content evolution. You can now also transcribe handwritten notes in Claude, analyze images, and use it to brainstorm content ideas, update drafts, and more.
Fabrica Studio
Create AI images in no time. I tried it here, and it worked great. A nice way to get quick illustrations for your blog posts or social media.
Grammarly
A fantastic AI-powered tool to check my grammar and tone and ensure no accidental plagiarism happens. Every week it sends me an overview of the number of words analyzed as well.
And the tones I’ve used. This is across everything – client blogs, my own blogs, emails, etc. Anything I write. I use the Grammarly plugin on Safari.
The plagiarism detection can be run in the app or by copying the text over to Grammarly.com.
Hey Gen
A leader in creating a clone of yourself. Create a video clone of yourself that can be used for marketing videos, solo podcasts, and the like.
Opus Pro
Opus Pro creates short videos from my video podcast episodes in no time. I can easily edit using the transcript, resize in moments, and export additional social media clips from my episodes. It’s an awesome AI tool for content creators who have longer-form video content.
More AI and video editing:
Otter AI
Otter AI is a great tool for reviewing transcripts quickly. It labels speakers well, creates a summary outline of what was discussed, and is easily searchable. I used it to determine how the split of speaking time on podcasts is, too. Let’s call that data-driven!
Perplexity AI
An AI-powered search engine, basically. It’s kind of like ChatGPT and Claude, but it gives you the sources.
The answers are then presented in narrative format with source quotations. Click on the numbers within articles or on the sources up top. I especially like using this when I look for stats for an article.
Restream video clips
Restream has rolled out automatic clips from livestreams as well. Once the stream is done, they automatically send these clips. If you don’t have a go-to yet for your podcast and livestream clips, this is now an option.
WordPress Editor
In the WordPress editor, you can use AI to create SEO titles and meta descriptions once you have half an article written. It’s super helpful, but needs a bit of editing – which is true for most AI tools anyway. But it’s a great start.
Which tools are best for you depends on your goals, workflows, and the type of content you are working with. These are the ones worth looking into and considering; certainly, the offerings will continue to evolve.
